London also offers world class shopping with the very best in top class department stores like Harrods, Selfridges, Fortnum and Mason, and Harvey Nichols plus the busting shopperís paradise that is Oxford Street.
The West End hosts the best in nightlife with clubs bars and restaurants to suit very taste and desire, and Londonís theatre land stages the most magnificent performances of screen and stage. Get off the tube at West Minster, photograph the Tower of St. Steven and then cross over West Minster bridge until you find yourself at the London Eye (the giant Ferris wheel). Keep walking all the way to the Tate Modern (around a 25 minute walk), stopping for regular photo opportunities at the National Theatre and the OXO tower. From here, either explore the galleries numerous floors, shops and cafes or take a wonder over the pedestrian-only London Millenium Footbridge, which takes you back across the river.
It can get busy with school groups within the week, so it's best to visit this amazing space over a weekend.
