Perhaps one of the most iconic sights of the south coast, Brighton’s Palace Pier is expensive and tacky but well worth a wander down.
Get some chips and mushy peas from the restaurant half way down, dodge the swooping seagulls and if you’ve got any money left from the arcades, have a slide down the helter skelter. Fantastic.

To wined down after a hectic weekend of shopping and sightseeing in Brighton, head for the Hove end of the Seafront and continue walking west (away from the crumbling skeleton of the West Pier) until you pass the Meeting Place Café.
Regularly frequented by dog walkers and young families, Hove Seafront (and Hove lawns) are well recommended for a relaxing stroll and just to chill out in the sun (depending of course, on the weather!)

Stock up on organic, local and fair-trade treats at Brighton’s Infinity foods, which is located in the heart of the North Laine. If you fancy a quick snack in between shopping the slices of cold vegetarian pizza ‘to go’ are superb.

Belcher's café is a typical greasy spoon located just a stones through from Western Road serving everything you would expect including full English breakfasts, mugs of tea and bacon sarnies. The décor is remarkably dated, but this only adds to the charm of the place, which is absolutely essential if you’ve had a few too many drinks the night before.
Expect to pay around £4 for the set breakfast and £6 for the ‘Big Breakfast’, however be sure to get their early, as it closes at around 1.30pm.
