Moved to France to escape the weather back in " Blighty". Love the way of life here, the politeness of the French ( yes they are here despite what you may have experienced in Paris!) as well as the relaxed atmosphere and of course lovely weather that stretches from early May to the end of October

Wander around the cobbled streets, stop for lunch at the Colombe D'Or for lunch where works from Picasso, Miro and Braque hang on the walls or simply grab a coffee and watch the world go by (as well as the boules matches) from Cafe Della Place just outside the fortified walls.
St Paul de Vence is an essential sight and makes a great day out, however because of this it can get extremely busy at weekends.
The village is perched on top of this mountain which is a relatively easy walk. There are wonderful views of the Cote D'Azur and lots of cafes and restaurants to chose once there. Walking shoes are advisable.
Most of the local paragliders start on the hills behind Gourdon and fly around the village of Gourdon. Its a spectacular sight and well worth the walk up.

Race day is in May, and it's great to say you've driven the same circuit as the likes of Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton!
The starting grid has been permanently painted on the street by a set of traffic lights, however be warned, a police man is usually waiting on the hill as you approach the casino, so watch your speed!
