The Picasso Museum is a must see. Located at the legendary artist’s former home at Plaza de la Merced, the museum contains a number of original Picassos.
The Caves of Nerja are arguably Europe's finest cave structure. Having only been fully discovered little over 50 years ago, they offer a geological wonder that is as timeless as it is beautiful.
For those with children, the Tivoli World Malaga theme park contains a number of excellent rides and regular shows every day that cater for infants and teenagers alike.
Built in the 8th century ad, Malaga’s Alcazaba fortress, located on a hill in the centre of the city offers a rich history lesson as well as some excellent views of the surrounding area.
A short drive along the coast will take you to the Rock of Gibralta, well worth a visit to appreciate its grandiosity and take a look at the Barbary Macaques that inhabit the territory.
La Manquita, the cathedral of Malaga, is well worth a visit. Its name translates as ‘the one-armed woman’, referring to the lopsided nature of the cathedral as it misses its eastern bell-tower.
Aqualand Torremolinos is the biggest waterpark in the Costa del Sol. It is open from May to September and is an excellent place to take the kids when the weather is scorching.
The Maritime Museum Museo-Acuario-Aula del Mar has a fascinating centre for Malaga’s diverse marine line.
If you enjoy playing golf, definitely take time out to visit Valderama golf course. If you’re not quite ready for the world championship course, there are over 50 others to choose from.
The luxurious Puerto Banus harbor (aka ‘millionaires playground’) is definitely worth at least a flying visit, as it is filled with some of the most luxurious yachts, retail outlets, cafes and bars.

To the people that are planning to enjoy of Granada Spain after visiting Malaga, I recommend to stay in a great hostel. The White Nest is located a few meters of Paseo De Los Tristes in the millennium neighborhood of Albaycin .
